Earnings from the card can only be applied toward the purchase or lease of a new GM vehicle. Redemptions vary from $1,000 to $3,500, depending on the model. For example, you can get a maximum of $1,000 off a Chevy Malibu or $3,500 off a Hummer H2.

Points roll up fast with this, the oldest and arguably most generous of the co-branded automotive cards — users get five points for every dollar they spend, no matter where they spend it. The lack of limits on how many points you can earn also means that big spenders can accumulate a lot of earnings. Remember, though, that those points can be used towards GM cars only and there are sometimes quite low redemption ceilings.
