When the CTS was introduced about four years ago, its bold, chiseled look — termed “Art & Science” — was controversial. The sporty sedan’s styling doesn’t carry universal appeal, but it has positively forged a new, distinct design direction for Cadillac that’s helping to revive the brand for GM.

“The Cadillac CTS has been very successful because of its athleticism and stance and its confident design presentation,” said Molnar, of Detroit’s College for Creative Studies (CCS). “It has a very consistent aesthetic, from the overall form right down to the detail of the vehicle.”
