The often-overlooked C-Class Coupe Sport model has the same mechanicals as the C-Class sedan models. And even though it is shorter in length, thanks to its quirky hatchback design, it rides like a larger car. The backseat isn’t all that roomy but as with most hatchbacks, you can fold down the backseat and use the area for oversized cargo. The raked rear pillar can get in the way when looking in the rearview mirror but there’s a tinted window built into the hatch to aid in parking and rearward visibility. The Coupe Sport has the three-pointed star on the hood and the price, even with the desirable V6, is still under $30,000. If you want big-car comfort and long-distance capability in a maneuverable, sporty-looking little city car, this is a good place to start.
