If you’re planning to drive the Maybach, you’ll want to invest in an easily accessible, protected and private parking space. You might also want to opt for the shorter and easier-to-maneuver Type 57 model. If you can afford one of these, that is — prices start at $335,000 for the 57 and $385,000 for the 62.

Most Maybach owners can be found in the rear-passenger compartment in one of those reclining backseats that support and adjust like the ones found in first-class airline seats. Driving is an urban annoyance best left to others. The advantage to the Maybach’s seating accommodations includes built-in massage and ventilation functions. There’s also an electronically controlled air suspension to help soak up the bumps. You could just as easily ignore the occasional potholes while being entertained by the DVD/TV entertainment system.
