City Snags: Especially wide and difficult to maneuver

This luxurious, comfortable, full-size SUV is just a little too big for the city. The Navigator was already big before, but the latest Navigator L model is huge. Its height makes it look deceptively shorter in length than it really is — that is, if it’s parked in a big, sprawling lot in the suburbs. Otherwise you’ll notice it. Try to wedge it into your average urban parking-garage space, maneuver around a stalled car or merge in with tight traffic.

The Navigator’s extra few inches of width and large mirrors also make it more prone to swipes and scratches from aggressive city cars.
