While the GX 470 is based on the less-expensive Toyota 4Runner, it offers more luxury and better off-road performance than its sibling. Tough body-on-frame construction will hold strong for repeated off-road forays, while an available Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) can change roll stiffness when needed. This provides the best of both worlds — more wheel movement for a smoother off-road ride and better traction, and tighter suspension control for secure on-road handling. Downhill assist and hill-start assist features maintain control on steep slopes while off-roading.

The GX 470 is richly finished inside with plush leather seats, bird’s eye maple trim and just about every feature you might find in a high-end luxury car, including a powerful Mark Levinson audio system.
