The big and comfortable yet sprightly RL sedan boasts a Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system that can vary power from left to right as well as from front to back. This provides the best traction in all conditions and types of driving, thanks to paddle-style manual shifters for the automatic transmission. Side-impact and side-curtain airbags are standard, and adaptive headlamps — to help see around dark corners — are available. The navigation system is voice-activated to help keep your eyes on the road. A new option for ’06, the $3,800 Technology Package includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System that notifies the driver of an impending accident, activates seatbelt pretensioners and applies the brakes. Included in the same package are laser cruise control and run-flat tires.
