The S80 lives up to Volvo’s reputation for safety, and with its feeling of solidity comes a very comfortable, quiet and spacious interior that’s big enough for five. Available on the S80 is Volvo’s Four-C active chassis system, which improves both handling safety and performance while keeping ride comfort. There are standard side-impact airbags for the front seats and side-curtain airbags for front and rear outboard occupants, along with antilock brakes. A clever Whiplash Protection Seating System quickly moves the front seat backs rearward in a rear-end collision to reduce the chance of neck injuries.
