It will feature a twin-turbo V12 engine that puts out a staggering 612 horsepower and will be the most powerful series-production Mercedes model ever (as opposed to a low-volume niche vehicle like the SLR McLaren supercar). It promises to outmuscle all of the competition.
The S65 AMG features a five-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddles for manual gear selection. The suspension works automatically to keep the car from leaning through turns and all-new brakes are made of advanced composite material to improve braking and durability.
The S65 AMG goes on sale in the fall. Its price has not yet been announced.
