Porsche unveiled its modestly restyled 2008 Cayenne, with wider wheel arches on its revised exterior. There’s a new headlight design that incorporate swiveling headlamps for improved vision on dark, curvy roads. But the big news for those interested in this performance-luxury SUV is the revamped engine lineup: The engines get new direct-injection technology, which allows more power and improved fuel economy. The base 3.6-liter V6 model now has 290 hp, while the step-up 4.8-liter V8 makes 385 hp. The top-of-the-line twin-turbo model generates 500 hp for zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 171 mph. New options include a push-button sports mode, 21-inch wheels, and a cargo management system on rails.
