Audi's A4 line of sedans, wagons and convertibles gets minor alterations for 2006. The compact A4 continues to deliver pleasing all-around performance, comfort and a choice of a turbocharged four-cylinder or V6 engine with front- or all-wheel drive. A gearless continuously variable transmission (CVT) is offered as an alternative to the standard six-speed manual with the four-cylinder engine, while the V6 offers a conventional six-speed automatic. An S Line Sport Package improves the already-capable handling.
