2007 BMW M6 Convertible

2007 BMW M6 Convertible Model Overview

Vehicle Summary: 2007 BMW M6 Convertible

The BMW M6 Convertible is the soft-top version of the super-performance BMW M6 Coupe. Like the fixed-roof version, it comes powered by a 500-hp 5.0-liter V10 engine. A seven-speed manual-automatic hybrid transmission is included, as are a number of performance-oriented upgrades. Settings for acceleration response, shift patterns, suspension and stability control intervention are all user-adjustable.

More Kitten than Cat

The compact Jaguar X-Type Sedan receives only minor updates as it heads for a possible phase out toward the end of the decade.

Highs

  • Quick acceleration
  • Nimble handling, especially for so large and heavy a vehicle

Lows

  • iDrive control system confusing and distracting to use
  • Virtually useless backseat
  • Fuel economy/gas-guzzler tax
  • Price
  • All those selectable modes add unnecessary complexity to what should be just a flat-out performance car.

What's New

  • Convertible is all-new for 2007
