The Lexus IS 350 is the brand's top entry in the hotly contested market for compact luxury sport sedans. It was redesigned recently, for the 2006 model year, along with its less-powerful sibling, the Lexus IS 250. Updates include a new X Package of optional trim and equipment for a more-aggressive look and added cornering abilities. A 3.5-liter V6 engine tops 300 hp. It comes mated to a sequential-shift six-speed automatic gearbox that can be shifted manually with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
