Vehicle Summary: 2007 Rolls-Royce Phantom

The large and ultra-luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom is a stately and exclusive ride, with what could be called "polarizing" styling. Admirers find it classy and formal, while critics find it too ostentatious. Either way, there's no missing the giant, sterling-plated, aluminum grille with the famous Spirit of Ecstasy ornament on top, often called "The Flying Lady." Naturally, the Phantom has a posh interior and well-mannered driving characteristics, considering its awesome V12 power. An all-new convertible, the Phantom Drophead Coupe (to be reviewed separately), is due for the 2008 model year. Meanwhile, the Phantom sedan is offered in either a standard- or a long-wheelbase version with 10 extra inches in the backseat.
