The Toyota Sequoia is the company's full-size SUV, based on the Tundra pickup truck. Recent updates include standard front side and side-curtain airbags with a rollover sensor. The standard engine is a large V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. It's offered with either rear- or four-wheel drive. The latter comes with low-range gearing and a locking rear differential for serious off-roading. The Sequoia is not as large as the most-mammoth domestic SUVs, and it lacks a diesel engine or heavy-duty version to tackle the biggest towing and hauling jobs. But for most applications, it gets the job done with good comfort and performance.
