BMW's smallest SUV is quick and nimble, powered by a peppy and reasonably efficient six-cylinder engine that can be mated to either a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual. It's one of the few luxury SUVs available with a manual. The X3's car-like handling qualities benefit from BMW's sophisticated xDrive all-wheel-drive system and Dynamic Stability Control. A long list of luxury features is offered, but like most BMWs, the X3 can get rather pricey once you pile on the options.
