Available in rear- and four-wheel-drive versions, the full-size Chevrolet Tahoe SUV rides on a strong, stiffer chassis that affords sophistication, comfort, and performance. It offers a choice of robust V8 engines; the 320-hp V8 now comes with Active Fuel Management technology that shuts down half of the cylinders under light loads to boost fuel economy. A four-speed automatic transmission remains standard. A slightly lower center of gravity and revised steering and suspension systems improve handling while maintaining a smooth ride. Its exterior design is conservative yet handsome.
