Following the popularity of its limited run of Ford Shelby GT Coupes sold in 2007, Ford offers a rare convertible version for 2008. Only 2,300 will be sold. The Shelby GT Convertible should not be confused with the higher-performance and pricier Ford Shelby GT500 covered elsewhere on this site. The Shelby GT Convertible starts out as a Mustang GT Convertible; its 4.6-liter V8 engine gets a mild power boost. The chassis is enhanced with a handling package. Various styling upgrades make for a more aggressive look and improve aerodynamics.
