Vehicle Summary: 2008 Ford Sport Trac

The Ford Sport Trac is the midsize Explorer SUV with a short pickup bed behind the rear seats. Never a big seller, the Sport Trac nonetheless gives Ford a smaller and less expensive alternative to an F-150 Club Cab for active individuals or tradespeople who'd rather not own a full-size model. As in the Explorer, the Sport Trac offers a choice of V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission or a V8 with a six-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard with an off-road-capable four-wheel-drive system optional. Several safety and convenience features are included.
