2008 Hummer H2

2008 Hummer H2 Model Overview

Vehicle Summary: 2008 Hummer H2

Hummer's H2 full-size SUV shares components with the Chevrolet Suburban but offers its own military-inspired styling. An SUT version combines aspects of an SUV and a pickup truck; it comes with a short pickup bed behind the rear seats and a unique "midgate" like that of the Chevrolet Avalanche that opens to expand its cargo capacity. Both models are built for serious off-road duty with a capable four-wheel-drive system and a potent V8 engine. These beastly SUVs can be burdensome in heavy traffic or tight parking spaces, but they offer a big and burly image that some find appealing enough to outweigh their unwieldy heft and poor gas mileage.
