The Volvo XC90 is a crossover SUV that's based on the S80 sedan. The base powerplant is a 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine. The top versions pack a stronger V8 engine. A six-speed automatic transmission that can be shifted manually is standard across the line. The XC90 can seat up to seven passengers via an optional third-row seat. What's more, the second-row seat can be adjusted fore and aft to maximize either cargo space or passenger room. The usual Volvo array of safety features is included, with optional equipment including items like adaptive headlamps and a Blind Spot Information System.
