The opulent and athletic BMW 6 Series Convertible delivers strong acceleration via a powerful 4.8-liter V8 engine. All that power can be mated to a choice of three transmissions: a six-speed manual, a traditional automatic or the automaker's auto/manual-hybrid, called a Sequential Manual Gearbox. Its power-operated fabric top lowers at teh press of a button. The 6 Series Convertible is stylish and well equipped, and offers plenty of comfort, at least for front-seat passengers (rear legroom is nonexistent). Like other BMWs, it remains saddled with the automaker's confounding iDrive system, which that combines various dashboard controls into a single console-mounted knob.
